An image of a male capercaillie. I made this image April 25 this year.
I was fortunate to photograph three kestrels in August last year. This is a female European Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus).
(Nikon D3, AF-S 600/4)
Bohemian waxwing (Bombycilla garrulus) taking off from a Lilac (Syringa vulgaris).
Converted into black & white with Photoshop and Silver Efex Pro.
Feeding Bohemian waxwing (Bombycilla garrulus). Photographed on October 15th.
My first close encounter with a Osprey (Pandion haliaetus)!
The image is far from sharp. But there are so many crisp images of ospreys and we do not need more of them…
But I’ll be honest and say I was surprised when it suddenly showed up. I photographed something else and I didn’t have the time to change the settings on the camera.
It happened so fast so I just took aim at the bird.
A Spotted nutcracker (Nucifraga caryocatactes) sitting in a Swiss pine tree in my backyard.
They usually appears in late July around here. The reason is the Swiss pine and it’s cones. The Spotted nutcracker is a pretty fearless bird.
Here it tries to figure out where the clicking is coming from.
