This image is from favorite from the month of May. The water level was high when the snow started to melt in the mountains.

My favorite from January. Ten vertical photos merge together in Photoshop. In Photoshop I used a plugin called Silver Efex Pro to convert the photo to black and white. I also added a little sepia tone.

August already, July just rused by. I managed to find time to shoot and the picture above is my favoritet from July.
On the evening when I photographed the seagull the sky was covered with clouds. These conditions gives a smooth and soft light. Which is perfect.
For those of you who are interested in technology, I used the Nikon D3 with 600/4. ISO 1600, 1/400s at f8.
It’s never easy to pick one image…
Why did I chose this image? I’m not sure. The crane is a beautiful and magnificent bird. Maybe it’s that simple.
After I took the shot I felt that the image should be black and white. It dosen’t work i color.
I use the AF-S 600/4 on the Nikon D3. 1/1600 at f4, ISO 800 handheld.
Later in the digital darkroom I made the basic adjustments in Lightroom. In Photoshop I used Silver Efex Pro to make the image black and white.
Better late then never….
Usually I try to select one image for “image of the month”. I experienced two seasons, therefore two images.
I spent a week in the mountains. Sunny and warm days and cold nights. The image above is made in Grantonsskalet, Vilhelmina. To the left Grönfjäll (1376 m). It was a cold and windy sunset.
In Åsele the snow had melted and the birds starting to arrive from the south.
I used Nikon D3, 24 / 3.5 tilt & shift, 400 / 2.8.
Jag hoppades på klart och kallt väder i måndags (31 dec). Men det känns som att hela december varit grå och trist. Det hade fallit lite snö några dagar innan och jag hade tänkt att fånga detaljer och snötäckta träd i sol. Solen lyser alltid men just i måndags så täckte molnen himlen.
Jag hittade ett område där det var ganska mycket ris och en del björkar. I bilden nedan lyckades jag hitta en ensam björk framför en väg av småbjörkar. Jag valde en lite bländare och fick en lång slutartid och rörde kameran under exponeringen.
I lightroom har jag ändrat vitbalansen och justerat nivåerna.
Så detta blev årets sista bild och december månads bild.
