Sunset in the pine forest

The image is made on 17 May this year. It was a wonderful evening. I remember the birds singing and the scent of the forest.

Portraits of my cats

Last night I tried to make some portraits of my cats. The older one was easy. She nicely jumped up on the chair. It wasn’t that easy with the younger one. In fact I didn’t get at single photo of her. It was more fun hiding under the chair… 🙂

Two second exposure

Mallars

It’s been a while since I wrote in the blog. I’m  alive and I am still shooting :-).

But anyway, the picture above was made earlier tonight. Söråselesjön is partly frozen so the birds that are still here gather where the ice is open. The sun had disappeared behind the mountain a half hour earlier. I made an exposure at two seconds to capture the movement among the mallards.

The arrivel of Autumn

Autumn Colors

Autumn has arrived. It’s both posivivt and negative. The colors and the cold mornings are great. The downside is that the days are just shorter and shorter.

Mist

A lovely morning about a year ago. Mist and a rising sun. It can’t get any better then that.

Forrest in black & white

forrest

I forgot to publish this post on Monday…

I took a walk into the forest on Monday night. I sat down for a while and listened to the silence.
I made a couple of pictures and the picture above looks best in black and white.

Or what do you think?

Fight or play?

Magpies

I saw the magpies in the distance this morning and I thought they tried to chase away a bird of prey.
But when I got closer I saw these magpies jump and fly back and forth on the roof.

It’s hard to tell if they are playing or fighting.

79

79 Fieldfare

A photo from last night. I managed to capture 79 Fieldfare in the picture.

I used Nikon D3 with 600/4 – 1/250s at f10 ISO 800

Pink moon

Pink moon

I was out for a short walk the other night but I had to run back home to get my tripod and the longest lens I own. The moon was rising colored in pink.
